Forensics Project:
Reflection:
1. What did you learn through this project?
- I learned a variety of things about both genetics and legal works. On the genetic aspect, I learned a lot about blood typing, chromatography, DNA sequencing, DNA fingerprinting, and karyotyping. On the legal aspect, I learned about the different levels of murder and the tedious procedures necessary in order to indict someone.
2. What would you like to know more about?
- I would like to know more about how a real court case, with cross-interrogation and debate, would work. We simply presented our case; but I think it would have been interesting if we pitted groups against each other and had to debate our evidence.
3. What should be done differently next year for this project?
- There were a couple holes in the evidence report and the overall crime; also, I think we should have pictures of our suspects because it will make things more realistic.
4. How do you feel you did staying on task while working on the project? How do you think you did during the presentation? What would you do differently?
- Our group maintained focus throughout the entire project. We were always on task and on topic. Our presentation was good; we spent a lot of time making different visuals in order to better our presentation.
