Hi, and welcome to my STEM portfolio! My name is Daria Hoang, and I attend the San Marin High School STEM program, which encompasses science, technology, engineering, and math. STEM focuses on critical thinking, collaboration, life skills, and most importantly, project-based learning. We do a number of projects, which have ranged from building a full-scale passive solar house to designing and building a human body system. In the tabs above, there are detailed pages for each of our individual projects.
While my experience in the STEM program has been nothing short of amazing, I also love being part of the larger San Marin community. I the Head Copyeditor of our school's student-run newspaper, the San Marin Pony Express, and the sophomore representative of the California Scholarship Foundation, which works with external organizations to immerse students in community events and service opportunities.
Outside of school, I love playing tennis. I compete in USTA tennis tournaments all around Northern California, although I've had the chance to fly to South Carolina for the Junior Team Tennis National Championships. I absolutely love team tennis, and have played for both San Marin's high school team as well as the Burgos Competition Team. More than anything, I hope to play at the collegiate level.
I also love music and play piano, as well as sing. I mostly play classical music, although I enjoy all types of genres. A couple of my piano performances are posted under the Additional Links tab, so please feel free to take a look!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me, either through the contact form or the email icon at the top right of the site.
